I came across the video a few weeks back & can't get it out of my head! Even Eliza has been singing the "church song". I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. http://youtu.be/nx_P_afu_tU

Valentine's Day

Today is Valentine's Day. I just love Valentine's Day. I love all the red & pink. I love the memories of exchanging cards at school. I love love!
Davis wrote me/told me a poem today. It goes like this:

I love Mommy.
Mommy is so pretty.
She has a lot of babies!

I don't even know how to respond to that one! LOL I asked Eliza if she'd like to tell me a poem. She just kept saying "yes". So, I asked her if she loved Mommy. She (of course) said "yes". I said "What do you like best about Mommy?" She said.... wait for it..... "Mommy's cookin'" Oh how I love these kids!
I know what Molly would say is her favorite thing, but it may not be appropriate for a family blog! BAHAHAHA

Master Davis

My little man is now a red belt! I am so proud of him. He's being taking tae kwon do lessons for close to 2 years now & is progressing very well. He still enjoys it even though there are weeks he doesn't want to go. But, I think that's normal given his age.
Eliza runs around trying to wear his gear, his belts, & yelling "HI YAY" while she kicks! LOL It won't be long till we have another black belt in training in our home.
I have been looking for a display to hang all his belts up in his room. If anyone knows where I can get one, please let me know!

My 6 month old

Today we had Molly's 6 month pictures made. Christi Arnette came out to our house & did a in home photo shoot. WHY have I never did this before? It was amazing! Molly took a great morning nap & got up just after Christi arrived. She was in the best of moods & ready to be a model.
It was so easy & so much fun. I would recommend this to anyone with kids. Here's a sneak peak of today's shoot. This turned out so great I can't wait to see the rest of them.

Identity

Today we took a break in our day & headed to Chick-Fil-A for some lunch & playtime.
While we were enjoying our chickens as Eliza calls them, I noticed a pretty little blonde girl wearing glasses. As the mother got up to go in the play area I asked how old she was when she got her glasses. I can't help but feel a connection to another parent who has a little one wearing glasses.
We chatted for a bit & then the mother said to me "Her glasses will become her identity & that is just who she is.". I can't shake that comment. I don't want her glasses to become her identity. They are just plastic, wires, & screws.
I want her identity to be within her.
What is in her heart.
Most importantly, who she serves. I want her to find her identity in things that can't be touched or held.
The Webster's dictionary defines identity as: condition or character as to who a person or thing is.
Her glasses are not who she is. They are what she wears to see better.

Let me tell you who she is.
She's the funniest little girl I've met. Just ask her! :)
She has the sweetest heart I've seen on a 2 year old.
She's a little Momma. Always wanting to take care of others.
She's learning about the one we serve.
I'm shocked everyday at how smart she is. She is picking up things so quickly.

Eliza happens to wear glasses, but glasses don't wear her!
